Notice is hereby given that the undersigned intends to circulate a petition pursuant to Article II, Section 9 of the California Constitution, California Elections Code, and applicable provisions of the South Pasadena Municipal Code, to submit to the voters for approval or rejection the following ordinance adopted by the South Pasadena City Council.

Statement of Grounds for Referendum

The proposed ordinance is objectionable to the undersigned because it was adopted without sufficient consideration of its impacts on the community and represents a significant policy change that should be subject to approval or rejection by the voters of the City of South Pasadena.

The undersigned therefore seeks to exercise the constitutional right of referendum so that the voters may determine whether the ordinance shall take effect.

Intent

The undersigned intends to circulate a referendum petition requesting that the City Council either repeal the above-referenced ordinance or submit it to the voters of the City of South Pasadena at an election as required by law.
